Requirements

What to Build

You can build an educational game, dataset, particular algorithm, website, or anything else your heart desires, as long as it is focused on making the designated society better! It can be in any language. Include a READ.ME file 

What to Submit

- All necessary files of your project, zipped

- A READ.ME describing the social problem you are trying to fix, your project, and how to run it. If it requires a specific program to run it on, include those details in the READ.ME. Bard students must also put their Bard email in the header as this is how we will be helping track the prize!

Judging Criteria

  • Social Good
    How much of an impact will your project enact, either immediately or in the future? Is it useful to solve current or niche issues?
  • Quality of Documentation
    How well commented is your code? Can we understand what's happening without an explanation?
  • Sophistication: Program
    How sophisticated is the project? Does it make use of data structures or higher computational thought? Does the program correctly apply methods used?
  • Sophistication: Social Good
    How creative is this approach in solving the given social problem? Is there a high level of depth of impact?
